Aston Martin debuted their brand new 2016 Vantage GT3 Special Edition at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show last month. This truly special vehicle will be limited to a run of just 100 cars. The Vantage GT3 Special Edition was conceived and designed at the company's headquarters in Warwickshire, England. It will feature a naturally aspirated 6.0 liter 48 valve V-12 engine with 592 horsepower. It will be equipped with a Sportshift III 7-speed automated-manual transmission as well as a lithium ion race derived battery. This Special Edition will also have a titanium exhaust system with center outlets and a magnesium torque tube. It will top out at 185 miles per hour with a 0 to 60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds.
The body of this supercar will feature lots of carbon fiber, including the driveshaft, front hood and front fenders, roof, and adjustable shell seats. The Aston Martin 2016 Vantage GT3 Special Edition will feature a prominent rear wing, an extended version of the V-12 Vantage's front splitter, bespoke GT3 calipers, and a lightweight black mesh grille. It will utilize a three stage adaptive damping system and sit upon Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

This car's extremely limited nature and its incredible features mean it certainly won't be cheap. Expect the Vantage GT3 Special Edition to cost around $400,000. The first customer deliveries will take place in late 2015. This GT3 will likely be competition for the Porsche 911 GT3 and the GT-R Nismo.
Aston Martin's CEO Dr. Andy Palmer had some great things to say about this car. He called it "an uncompromising example of our design and engineering expertise." Palmer went on to say that he is sure the 100 owners of the Vantage GT3 Special Edition "will savor every second behind the wheel; whether on the road or on the track." Let's hope he is right and this car is worth the expensive price tag!
